Bingo lingo

Bingo calls have been synonymous with the game since it's early conception when bingo callers in traditional bingo halls would use these unique nicknames when calling out each number. Although not as widely used these days you'll still hear reference to these calls in most UK bingo halls and likewise most online bingo sites have embraced the traditional calls.

Each bingo number from 1 to 90 has a unique nickname associated with it. Many numbers are simply rhyming slang (such as 26 - Pick and Mix) while others have more obscure meanings (such as 76 - Is she worth it. In old money, a marriage licence used to cost 7 shillings and 6 pence). While it's not essential to learn bingo calls it certainly adds to the fun of the game and helps keep the tradition alive.
